                                                      Brentwood Carp Show

Brentwood carp show is familiar with most anglers out there in the uk but its not just about carp, there are casting tuitions FREE and some  of the big brands have staff doing the tuitionss  such as
NASH
There are catfish stalls such as the ccg CATFISH CONSERVATION GROUP not such a big brand but making its mark. It's not about going to see these big brands, its seeing what the smaller companies have to offer aswell. All products are present, you name one thing to do with carp fishing and catfishing and you could guarentee they have it. It goes all the way from end tackle to bivvies and bed chairs but its not all that pricey, its quite easy to find a bargain which is even better  if you are planing on buying alot of stuff, it all adds up and helps . tickets are £10 at the door but children under the age of 14 go free and i would definately sgrgest going, it is a brilliant day out and just seeing what companys have to offer

A LARGE chunk of the famous Yateley complex will be run by a “normal” angling club.
When giant commercial enterprise CEMEX Angling announced its mass sell-off, it was feared ordinary anglers might lose access.

From February 1 Farnham Angling Society members can tackle the Yateley South Complex’s South Lake. Then from April 1 all the other stillwaters – Pumphouse Lake, Horseshoe Lake,Tree Lake, Summer Pit, Match Lake, Copse Lake, Nursery Lake. They’ve also got a stretch of the River Blackwater.

The club offers lots of fishing on all kinds of venues for just over £100 (seniors) for the 2013/14 season, starting April 1. A cap on senior membership will be set and then a waiting list will start. Info on 01252 320871 or www.farnhamanglingsociety.com

Large specimen carp and indeed other species, are always the likely target of thieves, from leisure fisheries, fish farms and even from garden ponds.
Leisure fishery owners! Do you remember the floods of 2007?
An Anglers Mail article reported that the Environment Agency had 'rescued' 11,000 fish over a two or three month period!
No-one knew who the fish belonged to - and how do you identify your fish and prove ownership 'beyond all reasonable doubt'? Now you can - with a Chips4Fish microchip implant!
A Chips4Fish microchip could have identified those fish and led to them being returned to their home lake and rightful owners (after a period of quarantine of course). How? Through the unique ID number written to the microchip during manufacture. When you implant a Chips4Fish microchip and register it on the national database, you give that fish an indisputable home address - your lake!
Stock Management .....
Microchipping your fish is not just about the danger of theft or flood loss. Microchipping is a valuable management tool

AS seen in this week’s Mail, there are loads of angling DVDs out this Christmas and one of the best has to be Martin Bowler’s Seeking Shadows.

Filmed over two years, it shows some fantastic action around a Dorset lake and the Welsh coast, with Martin catching everything from huge blue and porbeagle sharks to monster carp and pike. Below are some exclusive images from the filming of the first part of Seeking Shadows, with part two due in 2013.

Big carp from Milton Abbas in Dorset – filmed above and below the water – feature heavily in Seeking Shadows.

A blue shark attacks the boat during filming.

The clear water of Martin’s target lake led to some great underwater footage of carp in their natural environment.

Crucians also have a starring role in the film.

One of most exciting moments – when a big porbeagle sharks hits Martin’s bait on film.

Two years of hard work paid off when Martin hit his targets, like this huge old carp
